No one has to accept your apology.

Doesn’t matter if it’s sincere or not. Doesn’t matter if you’re a steel plated fuckup machine cranking out bigoted crap out like it’s your job or a one hit wonderfail who made exactly a single mistake.
No one needs to forgive you. No one needs to care you’re sorry. You can be cut off and ignored and you have absolutely no right to whine about it.
And the apology not being accepted...

**Trigger warning for rape culture, graphic description of sexual assault, self-harm**
Presenter Pips Taylor explores why thousands of rapes go unreported and conviction rates remain low. Ultimately Pips asks - who is really to blame for rape?
Despite the open question at the end of this description, the documentary places the blame squarely on the rapist.

It doesn’t matter how we got like this. Really. Are you asking because you want to know or because you need to? If you’re just sitting next to one of us on the train, or taking our order at a cafe, you don’t actually need to know. If we’ve actually met and had a conversation beyond “Do you want honey with...
‘Lazy’ media stigmatize mentally ill: researchers
disabledtalk:
Media coverage of mental illness in Canada is overwhelmingly negative, according to an analysis of news articles and television transcripts commissioned by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
“We see a lot of lazy journalism,” said Rob Whitley, a researcher at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute in Montreal, who found the shorter a news article is, the more likely...

When Mychal was visiting me, I said something-or-other about my autism, and he said, “You shouldn’t self-identify that way.”
My response at the time was something like, “Yeah, I know I shouldn’t, but this is all new to me and I’m still getting my head around it, and…” etc.
I wish, in retrospect, that I’d told him to shit off.
Firstly and most importantly, you do not get to...

My mum sometimes calls milk ‘milook’, a strange northern way of creating two syllables. Just now I was wondering whether I needed milk and thought:

I don’t watch a ton of comedy, but that’s a far judgement based on what I’ve seen. Sadly though we do have Harper, who is like GOP-lite (or rather he knows he can’t go straight GOP ‘cause he would get killed in the next election) in majority >.
Yeah I should have mentioned the issue of Harper. My pitiful...

You should prefer Canada we are awesome :P
I swear your comedians are much more British in that comedy is subtle and clever rather than obvious and slapstick. Or is that just a stereotype?
Plus you can distance yourself from all the GOP candidates, with whom I’d be frankly scared to share a country.

I need to do more Tumblr meet ups
I really want to meet all the characters that I see coming around again and again. I wish I could meet you all. My friends and I want to travel the US at some point, but where will I ever get the money?! I’m too mentally unstable to work, at least at the moment. I’m very tempted to meet local UK people though.
I JUST WANT TO MEET ALL THE PEOPLE AND MAKE THIS WEIRD BLOG A REALITY
Anonymous asked: Will do! If I'm ever out that way, we must smoke.

Anonymous asked: Smack dab middle of the United States.. Hmmm... Well this is quite unfortunate. I shall smoke for you?

Yo Anonymous, fuck off. Haha! I think it’s obvious from the fact I was seeking medical help that drugs alone do not solve it.
Anonymous asked: then does it matter if you have your quick fix, fix. You don't need the medical stuff.
infiniteacronym asked: where do you live that they're giving you this much trouble?
Anonymous asked: So you're an addict ? or a casual user? and because of this fact, you have been refused medical drugs?
xx-rapunzel-xx replied to your post:
jeez, sorry about this :( i don’t get it. I don’t get it either. It’s a total head fuck. I’ve heard from people in the US and UK who had CBT while openly smoking. Must just be my fucked up local health authority.
Absolutely unforgivable.

How is it justified to refuse depression treatment...
What if I was a suicide risk? This policy is extremely dangerous. It’s had an extremely negative effect on my mental health already. What am i supposed to do now? I don’t want to stop using drugs that make me happy in my worst times. I don’t want to take away one of my most important support structures. They had the audacity to end the letter by saying ‘case closed’....
